Is Change in the Health Industry an Oxymoron?

This conference highlights the issue of speeding up implementation changes. Speakers will offer their perspective on successful implementations as well as instances when things didn’t run as smoothly.

The keynote speaker, Hon. Dr. Carolyn Bennett is the member of parliament for the riding of St. Paul’s. Bennett is also the author of Kill or Cure? How Canadians Can Remake their Health Care System. In Dec. 2003, in the wake of the SARS epidemic, Paul Martin asked Carolyn to become Canada’s first minister of state for public health. During her 2 years as Minster, Carolyn set up the Public Health Agency of Canada, appointed the first chief public health officer for Canada and oversaw the establishment of a true public health network across the country.

Panelists include Francois Côté, Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the year, President of Emergis, one of Mclean’s top 100 employers in Canada.
